Elissa Carroll paints the kinds of moments many of us pause for—a shift in the sky, the way light moves across water, the stillness of a flower catching late afternoon sun. Her work is rooted in those everyday details that stay with us, even if we don’t have the words for why.
Each painting reflects a feeling: movement, memory, quiet. The result is a body of work that brings light, warmth, and calm into the spaces where we live.
Artist Elissa Carroll has been oil painting since her early childhood. Throughout her formative years she worked in studio and Plein-Air studying traditional oil painting techniques under the tutelage of a professional artist. She grew up frequenting art galleries, exhibiting and maintaining a strong art foundation and portfolio. Elissa went on to Montserrat College of art in Massachusetts and received her bachelor's degree in Fine Art, with a minor in design.
After college Elissa created large scale oil paintings and murals for commercial spaces and establishments working with designers and architects, strengthening her understanding of the balance between fine art and interior design.
Elissa currently exhibits in solo and group exhibitions. Her oil paintings can be found in galleries, private homes, historical clubs and luxury home decor boutiques. Elissa’s clients include designers, architects, galleries and private buyers, and she is consistently commissioned for her oil paintings throughout the US.

“Light is never still. Neither is memory. That’s what I try to paint—what we almost saw, before it changed.”
Elissa paints with instinct, memory, and motion in mind. Her compositions are often inspired by the quiet drama of nature: skies shifting color, botanicals unfolding, reflections on water. She doesn’t aim for realism—she aims for resonance.
